Product Review: Maybelline Waterproof Stiletto Mascara

Here's the deal- I've been wearing makeup since I was twelve years old.  Some things I have never changed as they work beautifully for me and if it ain't broke why try and fix it?  Mascara however has been the bane of my cosmetic wearing life.

I have tried extremely cheap mascaras and run the gamut all the way up to the absolutely ridiculously expensive.  I have just never been happy with any of them.

I have long, reasonably thick eyelashes.  All I have ever wanted in a mascara was something that added some color and defined them a little without being clumpy and that didn't turn into raccoon eyes on me an hour after applying it.  Twenty-six years I've searched for the perfect mascara and I've finally found it.

Maybelline's Stiletto Mascara has a wonderful straight brush (I can't begin to tell you how much I despise curved mascara brushes) with bristles that are at several lengths, it catches each individual lash perfectly.  The mascara itself isn't thick or clumpy yet applies to
completely coat with each brush stroke.  The black is very black which I love (something else that irks me is the sorta-black that most mascaras end up being).

I went with the waterproof version of the mascara and haven't tried the non-waterproof version.  I have applied this mascara and been outside in the humid summer heat all day and my lashes at the end of a twelve hour day still looked as good as they did in the morning when I did my makeup.  I've also had it on when I've been exercising, and also to a packed rock concert where there was limited air conditioning and everyone was sweating buckets- my mascara didn't let me down in any of those circumstances either.  It just lasts and maintains.

I bought the Maybelline flavor eye-makeup remover and use a cotton circle with a little of that on it to easily remove the mascara when I want to; I have no issues with its removal at all- it's quick and easy.

If I sound like I'm raving about this product- I totally am.  Like I said, I've been searching my whole life for a mascara to live up to its hype as well as my own needs and expectations- Maybelline's Waterproof Stiletto mascara does exactly that.
